#1 In this my first blog, I address those who love Christmas, suggesting that it may surprise them to know the degree of influence Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol had in shaping how we, today, celebrate the season, the one it venerates, and the theme of peace on earth and good will to humankind. And such is well presented in an article for The Victorian Web, by Philip Allenham, entitled, “Dickens: the man who invented Christmas.”
